As an HR Payroll Professional at Kyndryl, you’ll be the payroll expert, make sure the whole process runs smoothly. Interpreting pay policies may sound like boring, but not for you! You’ll be the onemaking sure vacation days, leaves, disability, workers’ compensation, and union contracts are all correctly calculated and applied. Your knowledge of government rules and tax exemptions would really matter here.

Required Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of overall HR Payroll experience, with 3-5 years specifically in Japan Payroll processing
• Good knowledge of payroll and accounting processes
• Experience with payroll programs and MS Office
• High degree of professionalism and able to communicate well with different levels of management
• Good understanding of employment law, and legal/regulatory requirements for different countries
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills, careful with data and detail.  
• Excellent people and communication skills, able to work well with different teams.
• Required: hands-on experience with full Japan payroll processing, including Social Insurance (Shakai Hoken), Labor Insurance, and Resident Tax (Jūminzei).
• Required: 3 years to 5 years of experience in Japanese language skill, equal to JLPT N2 or N1 (both written and verbal) to work smoothly with Japan-based HR colleagues.

Preferred Skills and Experience

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business and Human Resources

•At least 2-3 years of previous experience in a similar role.

•Basic knowledge of other HR areas, like Compensation, Benefits, and Talent Acquisition.
