We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with strong practical exposure to Capital Markets, Securities and Investment Accounting.

Key Eligibility Requirement

You should have worked before at a stock broking firm, capital markets company, investment fund, wealth management firm, securities firm, or family office. If your experience is only regular accounting (without any exposure to securities/investments), this role might not be the right fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle accounting and matching for equity, F&O, and other investment transactions

• Match broker records, trade confirmations, Demat statements, bank transactions, and investment holdings

• Handle accounting for futures profit/loss, option premiums, margins, and derivative trades

• Understand and record brokerage fees, taxes (STT, GST), stamp duty, and other trading costs

• Calculate and match booked vs. unbooked profit/loss

• Handle investment accounting – purchases, sales, cost tracking, company actions, and final holdings

• Prepare capital gains data for tax filing and audits

• Do bank reconciliation and track investment-related money movement

• Handle TDS, GST, income tax calculations, and other compliance work

• Prepare reports and supporting data for audits and account closing

• Manage accounting across multiple companies and individual investment accounts

• Coordination with brokers, banks, auditors, consultants and other financial intermediaries

• Coordinate with brokers, banks, auditors, and consultants

• Spot and fix any mismatches between your books, broker records, and bank statements — independently

Qualification

• B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter or Similar

• Real experience in capital markets, securities, or investment accounting

• Strong understanding of equity and F&O trading

• Practical knowledge of broker matching, Demat operations, settlements, and margins

• Strong accounting, tax, and reconciliation skills

• Good with Excel and handling large amounts of financial data

• Able to independently spot and fix mismatches

• Sharp attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Industry Experience

Stock broking, capital markets, securities, portfolio/investment management, wealth management, investment companies, or family offices
