Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, we’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer, Senior UI Automation Engineer for our Industrial Automation Digital team. You will create modern automation tools for cloud-based products and ensure quality through testing.
As part of an Agile team, you will design automation solutions, CI/CD pipelines, use AI-assisted engineering practices, and work with Product Management, Software Engineering, and Quality Engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-quality digital solutions.
This role supports the Process Automation – Automation Digital team in Bangalore, India. The work model for this role is: Hybrid.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain UI, API, integration, and automation frameworks using modern automation technology, ensuring reliable testing of cloud-based SaaS applications.
- Improve automation framework design, CI/CD integration, test reliability, and overall software quality.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, and other teams to match automation with business needs, and ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Mentor engineers, promote good automation practices, and help improve engineering productivity and efficiency.
Qualifications for the Role
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 6–10 years of experience in Software Development, Test Automation, or Quality Engineering, with strong skills in application testing.
- Strong programming skills in C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript, with experience in automation tools like Selenium or Playwright.
- Good understanding of automation framework design, software design patterns, CI/CD pipelines, web technologies, debugging techniques, release engineering, and modern software development practices.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure, cloud-based applications, distributed engineering teams, AI-assisted development tools is preferred.
- Azure certifications and performance engineering experience are a plus.
- Experience with performance testing and complex business processes is desirable.
- Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
