Role: Backend Developer (Python / FastAPI)

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer (Python / FastAPI) to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing backend applications. The ideal candidate should have strong skills in Python, FastAPI, API development, database design, and cloud-based structures. Experience building large-scale, business-ready applications within fintech or other regulated industries is a big plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend applications using Python and FastAPI.
• Build secure, scalable, and fast RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and microservices.
• Design, improve, and maintain databases using PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Set up authentication, access control, and secure coding practices using JWT, OAuth2, encryption, and industry security standards.
• Improve app performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Write clean, easy-to-maintain, well-documented code with thorough unit and integration tests.
• Work with Frontend, DevOps, QA, and Product teams in Agile development cycles.
• Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and support live production systems.
• Take part in code reviews and contribute to structure and technical design discussions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in backend developer
• Strong skill in Python and the FastAPI framework.
• Hands-on experience building REST APIs, WebSockets, or gRPC services.
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB, including database layout design and query improvement.
• Experience with SQLAlchemy, ORM frameworks, and async programming (asyncio).
• Good understanding of microservices structure and distributed systems.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Some knowledge of message brokers such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Redis is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of secure coding practices, authentication methods, and API security.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methods.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in FinTech, Banking, or other regulated industries.
• Knowledge of API gateways, service mesh, and event-driven structures.
• Some knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar platforms.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as PyTest.
• Some knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) is a plus.
