About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Android Native Developer using Java and Kotlin to join our dynamic team in Mumbai. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality native Android applications. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Android SDK, be passionate about creating performant apps, and have a strong attention to detail and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain native Android applications for smartphones and tablets.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend developers to build seamless mobile experiences.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party libraries to enhance app functionality.
• Optimize app performance for speed, scalability, and battery efficiency.
• Write clean, modular, and maintainable code following Android best practices.
• Debug and resolve issues to improve app stability and user experience.
• Keep up to date with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in native Android app development.
• Strong proficiency with Java and Kotlin programming languages.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose for building modern Android UI.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Kotlin Coroutines for asynchronous programming.
• In-depth knowledge of the Android SDK, Android Studio, and related tools.
• Experience with architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON parsing, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Familiarity with Google Play Store deployment process and app lifecycle management.
• Experience implementing push notifications, background services, and local data storage (SQLite, Room).
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Espresso) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools for Android apps.
• Understanding of mobile security best practices.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
