Role Description
The Senior Accountant will handle all accounting tasks. This includes keeping the general ledger, managing bills to pay and receive, checking bank statements, and closing monthly and yearly accounts. This is a full-time job in Ahmedabad.
The role involves preparing financial reports, following accounting rules and tax laws, and helping with budgets and cost control. The Senior Accountant will create and check financial statements, watch inventory and production costs, and work with leaders to give financial advice for business choices.
The candidate will also manage junior accounting staff, work with outside auditors and consultants, and help improve processes and set up internal controls for the company’s growth. The candidate must be able to file GST and TDS returns on their own.
That kind of cross-industry exposure is rare in Ahmedabad. It includes fashion, manufacturing, retail, and hospitality under one roof. This is genuinely uncommon among accountant job in Ahmedabad.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of related experience.
- Solid knowledge of core accounting – ledgers, financial statements, and monthly/yearly closing
- Able to file GST and TDS returns on your own
- Experience with daily bookkeeping and accounting entries.
- Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations and management reports
- Good understanding of taxes, compliance, and Indian accounting standards
- Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, cost accounting, and managing inventory in manufacturing or retail.
- Comfortable with accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel
- Sharp attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and a focus on accuracy and honesty
- Good communicator who can work well with leadership, operations, and outside partners
- Able to guide a team, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment
- A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or similar
- CA or CMA certification is a nice bonus
- Previous experience as a Senior Accountant, ideally in fashion, textiles, or manufacturing
