Role Overview
We’re looking for a junior accountant who is ready to jump in and take full ownership of one of our client’s accounts – right from day one. You will keep the books in order, record and match transactions, handle money coming in and going out, send invoices, and lead the monthly and yearly closing. You will mostly work on your own, but you’ll have our Chartered Accountant and leadership close by if you need them.
This accountant job in Ahmedabad is based at the client’s office near Kalupur Railway Station.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of hands-on accounting or finance experience – you should be able to manage a full set of books by yourself
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or similar. CA Inter or CMA is a nice bonus, not a must
- Good understanding of GST filing, TDS, and other tax rules in India
- Solid command of double-entry – bookkeeping, ledgers, bank & vendor matching, and preparing financial reports
- Comfortable using accounting ERP software like Tally or Zoho Books, and good with Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
- Accuracy in data handling, detail-oriented and good at hitting deadlines
- Confident enough to train others and explain accounting stuff clearly – both in writing and while talking
- Open to traveling around Ahmedabad sometimes to train clients on their ERP system
Salary range: ₹20,000-₹25,000/month
