We’re looking for a detail-focused professional to define, document, and improve how our business processes and transactions work, from start to finish. This role connects the business side with the tech side — making sure processes are clearly explained so teams can build the right solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define Business Processes: Study and document how our business works, making sure everything is clear and aligns with company goals.
- Map Transaction Flows: Design and explain how transactions work step-by-step — including decisions, handoffs, and how to handle unusual cases
- Gather Requirements: Work with business teams to find out what is needed, including performance and reliability standards.
- Review Technical Designs: Collaborate with process experts and tech teams to ensure technical plans meet business needs before development starts.
- Improve Processes: Identify wasted effort or gaps in current processes and suggest improvements.
- Communicate with Stakeholders: Act as a link between business and tech teams, turning business needs into clear documents.
- Review Risk & Feasibility: Check if proposed changes are realistic, safe, and follow rules
- Work Across Teams: Partner with product, operations, and tech teams on each project.
- Keep Documentation Updated: Maintain clear and current process documents and workflow diagrams.
Basic qualifications
- 8+ years in Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable
- 4+ years using financial performance indicators (KPIs) for analysis
- 6+ years improving, automating, or simplifying finance/business processes
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, statistics, or business, or a bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years in a data-focused job
- Experience using SQL for data analysis
- Experience creating complete solutions from start to finish
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred qualifications
- 3+ years in tax or a related field – MBA or CPA
- Experience with data tools like SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos, and financial systems like Oracle, SAP, Lawson, or JD Edwards; knowledge of Tableau is a plus
- Experience as a solution architect, migration specialist, or similar role
- Able to find creative solutions for tough technical problems
- Experience with software development methods and languages like Java
- Experience with AI/ML tools to improve business process
- Familiarity with AI-based tools for process improvement and using AI to analyze workflows and support decisions
