We are specifically looking for someone with hands-on experience doing accounting/bookkeeping for US entities. Please do not apply if your experience is primarily Indian accounting (Tally/GST/etc.) without significant US accounting experience.

About the Role
We’re a small group of companies based in the US, run by the founder himself. We need an experienced accountant who can fully own the books – not just enter numbers, but keep everything clean and accurate enough to pass a CPA review and tax filing without issues.
You’ll basically be the finance team. There’s no one else double-checking your work – so we need someone who catches problems early and speaks up.
As we grow and add more companies, your role will grow too – eventually helping build and manage a small team. We’re hiring for the long run, not just to fill a gap.
What You’ll Own
- Complete bookkeeping across multiple companies – payments, receivables, and matching bank/credit card records
- Inter company transactions: Handling transactions between our related companies and keeping those balances accurate
- Preparing and coding bills for the founder to approve and pay
- Following up on unpaid invoices
- Month-end close and financial statement preparation for each entity
- Spotting anything that looks off – wrong entries, missing paperwork, numbers that don’t add up
- Coordinating with our US CPA at close and at year-end
- Over time: writing step-by-step processes, keeping account categories consistent, and training junior staff
What We’re Looking For
Must-haves
- 3+ years doing bookkeeping or accounting for US-based clients or entities — this is the primary requirement
- Real, hands-on QuickBooks Online experience (not just Tally)
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and US small-business accounting practice
- Experience managing accounts across multiple related companies
- CA, CA Inter, CMA, or B.Com/M.Com — but honestly, we care more about your US experience than your degree
- Someone who’s self-driven and doesn’t need constant follow-up
- Clear written English – most of our communication is happens over email
Nice to have
- Experience at a US-focused outsourcing/accounting firm
- Familiarity with tools like Bill.com, Ramp, or Gusto
- Payroll experience
- Knowledge of US tax basics – 1099s, sales tax, S-corps, partnerships
- Experience with marketing agencies, financial services, or real estate companies
