Role Description

Accountant & Data Entry operator

Location: MUMBAI ONLY

About The Role:

We are seeking a responsible, trustworthy, and independent Accountant & Data Entry operator to manage day-to-day accounting, billing, matching records, inventory, and business records across:

• Petsburgh Spa
• Petsburgh International Grooming Academy
• Petsburgh Boarding
• PPGAI

This is a hands-on role for someone who is:

• Strong with numbers
• Highly organised
• Detail-oriented
• Capable of independently managing accounts without constant supervision

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Data Entry

• Maintain accurate day-to-day accounting records across multiple business areas
• Record and manage:
• Billing entries
• Sales entries
• Purchase entries
• Expense records
• Payment records

Reconciliation & Financial Control

• Perform Regularly matching records for:
• Sales
• Billing
• Cash
• Bank accounts
• Inventory
• Identify and fixing errors ahead of time.

Inventory Data Management

• Maintain and matching inventory records:
• Purchases
• Sales
• Stock movement
• Closing stock

Documentation & Record Keeping

• Organizing all financial and operational records:
• Invoices
• Receipts
• Purchase documents
• Supporting documentation
• Client Data
• Daily work records

Compliance Support (CA Coordination)

• Prepare accurate financial data and reports required by the CA for:
• GST
• TDS
• Income tax
• Other legal requirements
• Coordinate with the CA and ensure timely submission of complete data

Receivables & Payables

• Track:
• Outstanding payments
• Receivables
• Payables

Payroll Support

• Assist with payroll calculations and record maintenance (as required)

Data Accuracy & Monitoring

• Cross-check data across:
• Billing systems
• Sales records
• Inventory
• Accounting books
• Identify and fixing inconsistencies ahead of time.

Confidentiality & Reporting

• Maintain financial and business data strictly private.
• Provide accurate financial and operational insights when required.

What We’re Looking For

Technical Skills

• Strong math and numerical skills – accuracy really matters here.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience preferred
• Good understanding of:
• Basic accounting principles
• Matching records
• GST
• TDS
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
• Familiarity with accounting and billing software.
