Job Title: Associate Graphic Designer
Company: FirstCut Design Studio
Experience Required: 2–5 Years
Location: Bangalore, India
Employment Type: Full-Time
Industry: Creative Design and Digital Solutions
Role Level: Associate / Early Career
FirstCut Design Studio is a creative studio working across many areas – branding, graphic design, video, interactive experiences, e-learning, booth design and digital solutions.
Our work covers everything from building brand identities and campaign creatives to designing large-event experiences, enterprise communication, digital interfaces and visual systems.
We work a lot with large organizations and tech-focused businesses, which means our designers often need to take complex ideas and turn them into communication that’s clear, engaging, and visually strong.
The Role
We are looking for an Associate Graphic Designer to join our design team.
This is an early-career role for someone with strong visual basics, curiosity and the ability to adjust their design thinking across different formats and styles.
You will work alongside our designers, creative leads and project teams on all kind of projects – from brand identities and presentations to event graphics, campaigns, digital experiences and marketing materials.
More than just executing layouts, we want someone who is interested in understanding the idea behind the communication and finding the best visual way to express it.
What You‘ll Work On
Your work may include:
- Brand identity and visual language development
- Marketing and campaign creatives
- Corporate and internal communication
- Presentation and pitch deck design
- Event branding and large-format graphics
- Exhibition and booth communication
- Social and digital creatives
- Infographics and visual storytelling
- Website and digital interface content
- Storyboards and visual references for video and motion projects
- Developing mood boards, concepts and visual directions for new projects
Because of how the studio works, no two projects will necessarily look the same.
What We‘re Looking For
- 2 – 5 years of professional design experience – ideally from a design agency background
- Good understanding of fonts, layout, composition, color, and visual order.
- Skilled in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
- Able to understand a brief and turn it into effective visual communication.
- Comfortable exploring multiple creative directions rather than stopping at the first idea
- Strong attention to detail and willing to improve work based on feedback
- Able to work across different brand guidelines and visual styles
- Comfortable working on multiple projects in a fast-moving studio
- Curiosity about design, technology, culture and the world around you
Good to Have
These aren‘t mandatory, but they would be useful:
- Basic understanding of motion design or Adobe After Effects
- Illustration skills
- Experience designing presentations
- Comfortable with UI/UX basics
- Interest in AI-assisted creative tools and new design workflows
- Experience working on B2B, technology or enterprise communication
What Matters to Us
Strong basics over software tricks.
Knowing the tools matters, but understanding why something works visually matters more.
Ideas before decoration.
We want designers who think about the communication problem first, before making something look good.
Flexibility.
One week might involve an enterprise tech presentation, the next could be an event identity, campaign, or interactive experience.
Curiosity.
You don‘t need to know everything when you join, but you should want to learn.
Ownership.
Even at an associate level, we expect you to care about the quality of what leaves the studio.
What You‘ll Get
- Experience with a wide range of design fields and project types
- Opportunities to work on projects for large Indian and global organisations
- Hands-on involvement from the first idea through to final execution
- Chance to learn from designers, video teams, experience designers, and other creative fields.
- A studio environment where good ideas can come from anyone, no matter their title.
