About the Role:
We are looking for a creative person with a strong portfolio that shows their love for design and typography. This person should have experience with different design platforms, both digital and print.
Responsibilities:
- Design and layout pages for the magazine and digital Platforms.
- Create eye-catching infographics, illustrations, and layouts.
- Work with editors, photographers and the digital team to make high-quality content.
- Follow Sportstar’s design rules, brand, and deadlines.
- Prepare print-ready files and coordinate with production teams when required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in newspaper or magazine page design.
- Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field.
- experience in editorial design and publication production is required.
- Experience with sports publications will be an added advantage.
Required Skills:
- Expert in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is important.
- Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, colour management, typography, Image resolution, infographic skills and print production.
- Basic understanding of digital design, social media graphics and motion graphics (Adobe After Effects/Premiere Pro) is a plus.
- Strong sense of typography, composition, colour and visual storytelling.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a busy environment.
- Experience with sports publications is a plus.
