Job Title: MBA Finance Jobs – Finance Associate Director
About the Role:
Ground Zero is looking for an experienced Associate Director to lead finance, accounting, compliance, and grant management — a senior role well-suited to candidates exploring MBA finance jobs at the leadership level, working closely with the CEO, senior leadership, and the Board.
This is a leadership role where you’ll work closely with the CEO, senior leadership, and the Board to guide financial planning, compliance, and the organization’s overall growth.
Experience: Minimum 10 years
Non-Profit Experience: Minimum 5 years preferred

Salary: ₹8 LPA – ₹12 LPA
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management-
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and overall financial strategy
- Prepare and track organizational budgets, keeping leadership updated
- Build strong finance policies and internal checks
- Work with program teams on budgets, grant usage, and financial tracking
- Support teams with financial evaluations and help set up new finance software (ERP)
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for leadership and Board meetings
2. Grants & Donor Financial Management-
- Manage the finances of grants and donor-funded projects
- Prepare financial reports for donors — spending summaries, usage reports, and supporting documents
- Monitor grant budgets, spending, cash flow, and financial coding
- Make sure we meet donor requirements and reporting deadlines
- Support the fundraising team with financial info for grant proposals
3. Compliance & Governance-
- Lead audits — statutory, internal, and grant-related — plus GST, FCRA, and other regulatory requirements
- Work with auditors and internal teams to make sure audits are completed on time
- Ensure we follow all relevant tax laws and regulations
- Manage financial and legal risks through good oversight
- Review contracts, agreements, and other finance/operations-related legal documents
4. Team Leadership-
- Lead, mentor, and grow the Finance & Accounts team
- Build efficient finance processes and strengthen the team’s skills
- Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
- CA / CA Inter / MBA (Finance) / M.Com or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of finance experience, including 5 years in the non-profit/development sector.
- Strong experience in:
- Financial planning & budgeting
- Managing grants and donor funds
- Legal compliance (FCRA, GST, Income Tax)
- Managing audits
- Financial reporting
- Leading teams
- Experience working with donor-funded organizations and managing multiple grants is a big plus
- Strong communication and presentation skills, and good at managing relationships with different stakeholders
- Good with Excel and accounting/ERP software
