Job description:

  • A seasoned front-end developer with 7+ years of experience building beautiful, functional, and responsive
  • applications.
  • Can-do attitude in solving problems.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks like Angular, Material, Bootstrap.
  • Advanced knowledge of JavaScript patterns and practices, including custom ARIA roles, accessible state
  • management, and using assistive technology APIs.
  • An accessibility champion with a deep understanding of WCAG guidelines and best practices.
  • Experience with accessibility testing tools like axe-webdriver or WAVE.
  • A strategic thinker who can advocate for accessibility across all stages of the development process.
  • Understanding how to build and execute Design System global components with great attention to detail that
  • promotes consistent UI and accessibility across the platform experience.
  • A strong communicator and collaborator who can mentor and guide other developers on accessibility principles.
  • Experience with animation implementation/libraries for features such as drag-and-drop functionality.

What you‘ll do (responsibilites for the role):

  • Lead the development and implementation of accessible front-end components and libraries.
  • Work closely with development, product, and UX to build out user-centered solutions that are modern and easy
  • to use.
  • Review code for accessibility compliance and propose solutions.
  • Collaborate with the design and product team to ensure accessibility is considered from the beginning.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest development/accessibility trends and best practices.
  • Conduct web accessibility audits and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with diverse stakeholders to champion inclusive front-end development.
