About the Job
As a senior node.js Backend Developer, you’ll join the team that builds and maintains the backend parts of several services on the platform. This includes:
– Tether always works to build new, useful features to give customers the best experience. These are built and released using agile methods, so users always get one of the best experiences in the industry.
– All backend services powering Tether must stay smooth, fast, and reliable for customers as the platform keeps growing.
– Security is Tether’s top priority. The Backend Development team builds all API services and backend systems using the highest security standards to keep every user safe.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with developers, product managers, designers, and other team members to turn requirements into clear, workable plans.
- Improve existing core backend services written in NodeJS.
- Build new solutions that connect with other core services through RPC calls.
- Write complex database queries for compliance and financial needs.
- At least 5 years of experience with JavaScript/Node.js.
- Familiar with microservices (breaking software into smaller connected parts).
- Have actively helped build a complex platform before.
- Good experience working with databases (MySQL, MongoDB).
- Able to learn new technologies quickly.
- Good understanding of security practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with blockchain integration.
- Comfortable with systems that stay up and running reliably (high-availability).
- Ruby on Rails experience.
- Interest in other tools like Redis (message queues), caches, and job queues.
