We are looking for a Senior .NET Microservices Developer with strong expertise in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and modern microservices design patterns. You will be responsible for designing, building, and evolving resilient, cloud ready backend services that underpin key NatWest banking capabilities. As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves leading the design, development, and configuration of software applications. This role requires taking ownership of the project lifecycle, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that the application meets the desired requirements. The individual acts as the main liaison for the project, guiding the team through challenges and facilitating smooth communication across departments to deliver effective software solutions. Roles & Responsibilities: – Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.- Responsible for team decisions.- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.- Oversee the implementation of best practices and ensure adherence to project timelines.- Mentor junior team members to foster professional growth and skill development.- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to align project goals with organizational objectives.- Design and develop cloud native microservices using modern .NET technologies – Define and implement service boundaries, contracts, and integrations using RESTful and event driven approaches – Apply modern architectural patterns such as DDD, CQRS, Saga, Circuit Breaker, Retry, Bulkhead, and API Gateway – Build secure, scalable APIs and background services – Collaborate closely with architects and DevOps teams Professional & Technical Skills: – Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in .Net Full Stack Development.- Strong knowledge of front-end and back-end development frameworks and tools.- Experience in designing scalable and maintainable software architectures.- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.- Familiarity with database management and integration techniques.- Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.- Implement automated testing and work with existing CI/CD pipelines – Work with Oracle databases for schema creation, application data persistence, and SQL queries – Core Technology Stack Backend: C, .NET 6 / .NET 8, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, Dapper Architecture: Microservices, SOA.- Domain Driven Design (DDD), Clean Architecture.- SOLID principles Messaging & Integration: Kafka.- Event Bus Cloud & Containerization: Exposure to AWS, Docker, Kubernetes.Database: Oracle, Postgres, Redis – CI/CD & DevOps: GitLab CI, building and improving CI/CD pipelines within established DevOps processes. Additional Information: – The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in .Net Full Stack Development.- This position is based at our Gurugram office.- A 15 years full time education is required.
