Your future duties and responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
. Design, develop, test, and maintain PHP based web applications and services.
. Develop reusable, efficient, and scalable code following best practices and coding standards.
. Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third party services.
. Optimize application performance, reliability, and security.
. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and production issues.
. Collaborate with cross functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
. Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
. Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and APIs.
. Stay updated with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Must-Have Skills:
. Extensive experience in backend application development using PHP, building scalable, secure, and high performance enterprise applications.
. Strong proficiency in PHP 7.x/8.x and modern PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
. Hands on experience in developing RESTful APIs and integrating third party APIs and web services.
. Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming (OOP), Design Patterns, SOLID Principles, and MVC architecture.
. Experience with source code management and version control using Git, GitLab, or GitHub.
. Skilled in implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated build/deployment processes using GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools.
. Proficient in unit testing and test automation using PHPUnit and related testing frameworks.
. Experience with code quality and security tools such as SonarQube, PHPStan, Psalm, and OWASP security best practices.
. Strong database development experience using MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, or Oracle, including query optimization and database design.
. Experience with ORM technologies such as Eloquent ORM or Doctrine.
. Hands on experience with caching technologies such as Redis and Memcached to improve application performance.
. Familiarity with asynchronous processing, message queues, and event driven architectures using RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar technologies.
. Experience with Linux environments, shell scripting, and web servers such as Apache and Nginx.
. Proficient in application monitoring, troubleshooting, and log analysis using tools such as ELK Stack, Splunk, or Grafana.
. Effective collaborator with experience using Jira and Confluence for Agile project management, sprint planning, documentation, and team collaboration. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Good-to-Have Skills:
. Good to have AI knowledge and use AI to improve productivity.
. Knowledge of frontend technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js.
. Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
. Familiarity with DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
. Experience with GraphQL and API Gateway technologies.
. Familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning integrations.
. Exposure to e commerce platforms such as Magento, WooCommerce, or Shopify.
