When we revise a client’s planning or purchasing routine, the records have to be right before anyone relies on them. Item masters, routings, supplier lead times and open orders often come to us on paper travelers, in spreadsheets or in two systems that disagree.

Data Entry Specialist. Full-time, remote from anywhere in the United States, U.S. business hours.

On a normal day

• Enter and correct item, routing and supplier records from documents the client sends

• Compare open orders between two systems and list the differences

• Key in receipts, inspection results and hold releases from scanned forms

• Send questions to the client’s planner when a record is unclear

• Check a sample of your own entries against the source each week

You’ll need

• A year or more in data entry, order entry or an office role with daily keying

• Typing speed of 45 words per minute or more

• Excel or Google Sheets: sorting, filtering and simple formulas Helpful, not required

• Experience with an ERP or inventory system

• Work in a warehouse office or a manufacturing plant
