Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Calypso Java Developer (6+ years) to work on building and supporting trading and post‑trade systems within capital markets. The ideal candidate will have strongexpertisein Core Java and Calypso (v16+) , along with a solid understanding of financial instruments such as equities and FX. This role involves customizing Calypso modules, supporting business workflows, and collaborating closely with operations and business users.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, andmaintainJava-based applicationswithin the Calypso platform.
Customize Calypso modules includingWorkflows,BOMessages,BOTransfers, Scheduled Tasks, Reports, and Engines.
Work withCalypso APIsto build enhancements and integrations.
Support trading lifecycle processes includingtrade capture, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting.
Collaborate withoperations and business teamsto understand requirements and resolve issues.
Troubleshoot production issues and provideapplication support.
Write andoptimizeSQL queriesfor data analysis and reporting.
Work with version control tools and follow development best practices.
Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and performance tuning activities.
Required Skills and Qualification
6+ years of experience inJava development (Core Java JDK or above).
At least 3–4 years of hands-on experience withCalypso (v16 or higher).
Strong expertise inCalypso customizations(Workflows, BO modules, Reports, Engines).
Working knowledge offinancial instrumentssuch as equities and FX.
Understanding oftrading lifecycle(settlement, reconciliation, reporting).
Strong SQL skills with experience inOracle or Sybase databases.
Basic knowledge ofUnix/Linux commands.
Experience using version control tools such asGit or SVN.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and debugging skills.
Good communication and stakeholder interaction skills.
Good to have Skills
Experience working ininvestment banking or capitalmarketsenvironments.
Exposure torisk management, pricing models, or derivatives.
Knowledge of messaging systems or integration frameworks.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Experience working directly withoperations/business usersin a support role.
