Peblo is looking for a talented Game Art Developer to create visually engaging assets for child-friendly, curriculum-based educational games. Key Responsibilities
– Design high-quality 2D/3D game assets including characters, environments, props, UI elements, and animations
– Prepare and optimize assets for seamless integration into Unity and other game engines
– Collaborate with game developers and instructional designers to align visuals with gameplay mechanics and learning objectives
– Iterate on assets based on creative, technical, and educational feedback
– Maintain organized asset libraries with proper version control and documentation
– Ensure visuals are culturally relevant, age-appropriate, and engaging for children (ages 5–12)
– Contribute creative ideas during brainstorming sessions to enhance gameplay and storytelling
– Stay updated with trends in game art, educational design, and asset optimization techniques
Required Skills & Qualifications
– Proven experience in game art development or digital asset creation for games or interactive media
– Strong portfolio showcasing 2D/3D art, character design, environments, UI elements, and animations
– Proficiency in tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, Maya, Spine, or similar software
– Working knowledge of Unity and understanding of asset pipelines, formats, and performance constraints
– Solid understanding of game design principles and how visuals support gameplay and learning outcomes
– Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional remote teams
– Strong attention to detail with a focus on mobile-first optimization
– Passion for creating playful, meaningful educational content for children
Nice to Have
– Experience working on educational games or gamified learning platforms
– Familiarity with child development concepts, learning theories, or curriculum design
– Experience with AI-assisted art tools and openness to experimenting with new creative technologies
– Basic knowledge of UI/UX design principles for children’s digital products
